The Institute for Adaptive Mastery, in partnership with Westside Behavioral Care, is pleased to offer Counseling with Emotional Response-Ability®

This is an introductory webinar on Emotional Response-Ability®, a new counseling methodology based on recent discoveries regarding the relationship between emotions and needs.

After explaining this new theory of emotion, the presenter will share case examples of how he used Emotional Response-Ability to help:

  • A business owner overcome an anxiety disorder that was negatively impacting his family life

  • A spouse outgrow an anger management issue that was threatening her marriage

  • A middle manager outgrow a trauma pattern that had been limiting her career advancement.

The presenter will then answer questions regarding the above.

Upon completion, the participant will be able to:

  1. Decode frustration, fear, anxiety, anger, resentment, guilt, and shame into their underlying needs

  2. Explain why mis-attributing negative emotions to external circumstances or internal thoughts leads to brooding rumination and maladaptive behavior

  3. Explain how “harnessing” negative emotions differs from “managing” them

  4. Name the six types of emotional trauma patterns and give examples of each.
